The Result of Mangrove Cultivation 2008

Teluk Awur - Jepara. On 14 - 16 March 2008, KeSEMaT was conducting its yearly event known as Mangrove Cultivation (MC) 2008: Seminar, Campaign and Cultivation of Mangrove. MC was held in Campus of Marine Science Department, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science (FPIK) Diponegoro University (UNDIP) and Mangrove Arboretum of KeSEMaT - Teluk Awur Jepara. It followed by 90 people consists of participants, committees and speakers.

Its seminar (15/03/08) had theme Global Warming. There were four speakers such as Leader of BMG Central Java, Executive Director of WALHI Central Java, Lecture of FPIK UNDIP and Local Government of Jepara. In addition, total participants was 51 from many organizations, departments and faculties of UNDIP and Semarang University (UNNES) such as STOP HIV-A, Fishery, Psychology, Manunggal News, Geography, Science, Communication, Chemistry, Civil, et cetera.

There were many activities of MC 2008 such as Global Warming seminar, introduction of mangrove ecosystem, training of mangrove cultivation, coastal clean up, visiting mangrove nursery of KeSEMaT, firld trip of mangrove et cetera. In the end of MC 2008 (16/03/08), committees was giving certificate of attendance to participants. [<]
