KGTS 2008: Mangrove Children Art Competition

Semarang, Central Java. On June, 18 2008, KeSEMaT had conducted Mangrove Children Art Competition (MCAC) of Elementary School (SD) in Room of SD 1 Trimulyo, Genuk - Semarang. MCAC was the end of KeSEMaT Goes To School (KGTS), first phase. The art of the MCAC's winner would sent by KeSEMaT to USA to follow International Children Art Calendar Competition held by Mangrove Action Project (MAP) International.

There were 40 participants from two SD (SD 01 and SD 02). The judges from KeSEMaT such as Yanuar Noor Akbar (MENWIRA), Aris Hantoro (MENKOMSI), Handung Nuryadi (President), Sunanto Kusuma P. (MENSEK) and Aris Priyono (DK) had decided the winner of MCAC below.

Age: 9 years old

Title: Mangrove Plantation Programme

2. The Second Winner

Artist: Rudi Setiawan

Age: 12 years old

Title: Life is Beautiful Because of Mangrove

3. The Third Winner

Artist: Aji Satriyo Pamungkas

Age: 10 years old

Title: Mangrove Habitat

MCAC started at 8 PM - 12 PM. The second phase, KeSEMaT will give its mangrove knowledge to students of SMP and SMA (secondary and upper secondary school) around the coastal region of Genuk District Semarang. [<]
