The Result of KGTC 2007

Trimulyo - Genuk, Semarang Central Java. In 10 - 12 Augustus 2007, Department of Marine and Fisheries (DKP PEMKOT) of Semarang together with MAP and KeSEMaT had succeed conducted Mangrove Conservation: Campaign and Re-plantation of Mangrove (KGTC 2007) at Trimulyo - Genuk, Semarang.

This activity followed by 60 participants from community of Trimulyo, teacher, fisheries society, college student (UNDIP, UNNES, ITS, UNRI, IPB, POLITEK) and youth community. 

KGTC 2007 started with mangrove campaign (about mangrove species and its animal, also mangrove function: ecology and economy) by KeSEMaT (Aris Priyono - DK). After that, there were re-plantation in coastal region of Trimulyo. Two species of mangrove had already re-planted: Rhizophora mucronata and R. apiculata. Its about 6000 seeds. Monitoring would be conducting in three months to check the sustainability of mangrove seeds. [<]
